Week of april 1, 2024

Welcome back to another week of Confessions of a Small Business Owner. It’s been a helluva week and it’s only Monday. Can you believe it’s Quarter Two? Life goes by faster and faster. What are your Q2 goals? Be specific. I’m still trying to figure mine out.

Easter was this past weekend. How do you navigate being inclusive? (I talk more about this on the vlog)

This week is starting off with my “fraud” dispute case from last week.

I feel like sometimes with customers you can’t win!!!! I’ve been having this one problem customer for about two months now. The same customer. I’m ready to block her from like. Like please run away, far, far, far, far away.

How do you deal with annoying customers?

I did get a really nice review today! Just a reminder to not be validated by someone’s negative or positive review. Know that you’re the shit!

Speaking of nice reviews, I recently saw lots of positive feedback about my business on Reddit. Do you ever search Reddit for feedback on your business? I have a place to add comments when you check out my website. I’ve had a lot of people add the comment they learned about my business and Reddit and to be honest I’ve never looked at the comments because I hate negative comments and people can be so cruel behind a keyboard. Plus, I hate rejection (its a childhood issue).

I also got one new subscriber on my YouTube channel. Celebrate the small wins. All wins.

This week has been extremely slow. Has it been slow for you? Slow weeks, months, can be very discouraging. Making you want to give up. But keep going if your business is your desire. One more day. One more sale. Keep going. Your goals aren’t going to achieve themselves. Everyday do something that is inline with and gets you closer to your goals. I’m struggling a little bit with this and going back and forth between only doing things that inline with my goals and getting a second job.

This week I announced my giveaway winners for the March 2024 giveaway. Do you do giveaways? What are your intentions with giveaways? What’s your experience with giveaways? Do you find that you get more exposure? More sales? More opportunistic people trying to get something free?

This week I tried to focus on doing things today, not putting them off until tomorrow. Even though I am uploading my vlog a day late ;(.
