Confessions of a Small Business Owner

December 31, 2024 - Wrapping Up 2024 & Social Media Tips and Tricks (Are you posting the right things?)

As I wrap up the year, 2024 has been filled with a lot of highs and even more lows in life and business. But I kept going and I'm going to keep going. We aren’t giving up. We are growing through adversity and struggle and we will come out stronger. Growth through adversity is never easy, but it’s worth it.

I wish you nothing but joy and abundance in the new year.

I’ve been learning there is no right way to do social media, you just gotta do it. Obviously, that's my opinion. There are tons of people on social media who will tell you that you found the secret sauce to social media, and personally I think you should just do it. It’s the cost of doing business. No matter how much I dislike it, it has to be done.

One thing I am going to start focusing on is posting more customer testimonies and more of what customers ask/want to know. (learn more about this in the YouTube video)

Do you struggle with friends and family not respecting your business? For instance, they text you orders (like you don’t have a website) or tell a friend of a friend to text you, give people your number, DM you for samples? That is one thing that can hinder a business. People not showing your business respect. How is your business supposed to grow or be taken seriously when people don’t take it seriously??

Tax Tip - Make sure you are tracking your business mileage, even if it's something as small as a trip to the post office.

As always, be the you that makes you the happiest and drink your water and mind your business. Love ya.

XOXO,

Alisha
